Mrs. Elsie Roberts of Cedar Bluffs announces the engagement of her daughter, Betty, to Martin E. Ballou Jr., son of Mrs. Mildred Ballou of Lincoln. The wedding will be an event of June 26 at the Plymouth Congregational church in Lincoln.
Miss Roberts is a graduate of the Lincoln General School of Nursing and is employed there as assistant supervisor. Mr. Ballou is a former University of Nebraska student and is now in business in Ashland.

Betty Jane Roberts daughter of Mrs. Elsie Roberts of Cedar Bluffs, and Martin E. Ballou, son of Mrs. Mildred Ballou of Lincoln, were married in a late afternoon ceremony at the First Congregational church in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Rev. Vernon Rice officiated.
The bride wore a gown of white satin and lace with a fitted bodice and bouffant skirt, and had a corsage of white rose buds.
Attendants to the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Durham of Lincoln.
A graduate of Lincoln General hospital school of nursing, the bride is employed as assistant supervisor at the Lincoln General hospital in Lincoln. The bridegroom attended the University of Nebraska and is a gravel contractor at Ashland.
The couple left on a trip to Colorado Springs and Estes Park. They will be at home at 2015 South 13th street in Lincoln.
