Elizabeth Kopp Weds

Clarence Gallagher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gallagher, Centennial, and Miss Elizabeth Kopp, Spring Grove, were united in marriage Saturday morning at 7 o'clock at a nuptial high mass in Conewago chapel, Rev. J. F. O'Donnell, pastor, officiating. They were attended by Miss Catherine and Albert Gallagher, sister and brother of the bridegroom. Mendelssohn's Wedding March was played as the processional and the march from Lohengrin as the recessional. A breakfast was served at the bride's home. The couple will reside in Spring Grove.

Clarence Gallagher

Clarence Gallagher, 75, 2665 Centennial Rd., Hanover died at the Hanover Hospital Wednesday at 2 p.m. He was born in Hanover, son of the late Ben F. and H. Grace Wetzel Gallagher. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Basilica, Hanover; AARP National Antique Auto Club of America, Gettysburg Region AACA, National Packard Club, Old Dominion Packard Club, Keystone Packard Club, and the Veteran Motor Car Club.

Surviving are his wife Elizabeth M. Kopp Gallagher, seven daughters: Mary Ensor, York Springs; Phyllis Miller, Hanover; Sylvia Riser, Hanover; Jan Sager, New Oxford; Patricia Gallagher, at home; Grace Barer, New Oxford; Donna Dahr, St. Clouds, Florida; three sons, Fred E. Gallagher, at home; Joseph Gallagher, Hanover; Ben Gallagher, Hanover; 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three brothers, All Gallagher, Abbottstown, Ben Gallagher Jr., Hanover; Wilbur J. Gallagher, Brodbecks; three sisters, Cathering Phillips, Hanover; Helena Moor, Edgegrove; Ruth Keiholtz, Littlestown.

Services to be held Saturday meeting at Feiser Funeral Home at 8 a.m. followed by a mass and burial at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Bassilica with mon. George Rost officiating. Friends may call the funeral home Friday evening from 7-9 with prayers at 8 p.m.

Elizabeth M. Gallagher

Elizabeth M. Kopp Gallagher, 78, of 2665 Centennial Road, Hanover, died Saturday, June 4, at the Brethren Home, where she had been a resident for six months. She was the wife of Clarence J. Gallagher who died in 1987.

Born March 16, 1916, in Spring Grove, she was the daughter of the late Ervin A. and Febbie A. Chronister Kopp.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove and Gettsyburg Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America.

She is survived by seven daughters, Mary L. Ensor of York Springs, Phyllis M. Miller of Abbottstown, Syvlia A. Riser of Hanover, Jane E. Sager of New Oxford, Patriciia M. Gallagher at home, Grace I. Baral of New Oxford and Donna M. Dahr of St. Cloud, Fla.; three sons, Fred E. Gallagher at home, Joseph F. Gallagher and Benjamin J. Gallagher, both of Hanover; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Emory Kopp and Lester Kopp, both of Hanover, Raymond Kopp of Brodbeck, Stanley Kopp and Rufus Kopp, both of Hanover, and Norman Kopp of Lancaster; two sisters, Carrie Graybill of Hanover and Marie Klinedinst of Abbottstown.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, meeting at the Feiser Funeral Home, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford at 8:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove, with her pastor, Monsignor George W. Rost, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.
